White sand and transparent water

 

The beautiful castline from Esteiro (near Muros) to O Pindo (beyon Carnota), has many accesible beaches.

All fine white sand and clear transparent water.

 

Those within the ria or estuary are calm and sheltered, while those exposed to the prevailing winds provide big exciting seas.

 

The campsite Ancoradoiro is situated between two larges beaches which are both out of the ria.

 

Area Maior is the first beach on the west side of Monte Louro, the old mountain which marks the limit between the estuary or ria of Muros and the Atlantic Ocean.

It is 1700m long and has a barrier of dunes which provide good protection for the Lagoon.

 

The temperature of the woter on this beache is between 15 and 18º C.

 

The beach of Lariño is only 100m from the campsite and it´s 1870m long.

At the end of the beach there is the working lighthouse of Punta Insua with a 14m tower.

 

The beach faces west so the sunsets are wonderful here.
